The best things to do in UTAH!

In no particular order these are the things, in my opinion are the best things to in utah.

Liberty Park
Great when you are bored. Bring a book, lunch and every so often Rollerblades. Amazing playground for the kiddies.

Pedicures with your girlfriends
Nothing cheers me up more than having my toes done. I can't wait until bella gets old enough and we can both go togehter. The only time I go with my friends is when there is a major event happening.
The Canyons Resort
We only stay at the Canyons every other year. But that just makes it that more special. Its always a good time with the family we end up laughing ALOT. But Park city is always a nice place to take a drive to and go shopping.

Alpine Slides I admit I need to get more practice but they are always fun to have races down the mountain, even if I do loose every time!

Camping

You can't go wrong camping anywhere. It's been along time since I have actually gone camping I have been to nervous of taking Bella, I decided she will be old enough soon as she learns not to eat dirt!

Storm MountainGot to admit, This is probably my most favorite places. I have been going there for family picnics since I was a kid and now its my little retreat. I have so many memories here and it's my little hidding place from the world. I know its no secret place but let me just pretend!

Lake Powell
I can't say enough about it. It's beautiful and a great time. I wish I could go more often.

IKEA IKEA IKEA!!!

So you do feel like you are a mouse looking for cheese. But once you go a few hundred times you start to learn where everything is. I know Utah is just barely keeping up with the rest of the world and thank you Ikea for finally putting a store here. I have been waiting for so long! I could spend a whole weekend here and a whole paycheck.

Silver Fork Lodge
The place where we got married. Its a great place to have lunch or have dinner and wine. It's also nice to have dinner there after a hard day of snowboarding or go to the lake fish walk around the boardwalk and then have lunch. Located in a great place, right next to Brighton Resort the best place for snowboarding!

Greek Festival

It's next weekend, Thats why I added it to the list. So much fun! I never liked greek food until I went to the greek festival about 5 years ago and now I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Oktoberfest is also this week and that is always a good time too.

What would you add?

Why I didn't make the Olympics

Our un-eventful weekend

So I told James that I wanted to go do something fun and entertaining this weekend and Park City was on the list but since they closed I-80 (the closest way for us to get there) we decided to just clean the house and go to the mall to get me a new phone
(Wahoo mom I have cut the umbilical cord)
While we were at the mall we got a crazy idea in our head to pierce Bella's ears.
This is a play by play from Bella's Point of View......
"Oh look mom a cute teddy bear"
"Oh mom, I'm such a big girl in this chair, I love this store"

"Ummm.... Why is this girl touching me, and why is daddy holding me down?"

"OMG!!! I HATE ALL OF YOU!!!"

The faces from the other people in the store were priceless. I have never gotten so many dirty looks in my life!

I actually felt really bad and I am grateful of James for holding her down because after they did the first ear she was so upset and I was just about to say, "oh just forget the second ear."

If I had to go alone she would have had only one ear finished.

After about 4 lolipops and very sticky hands, She was fine and her ears make her very girly now. And for the record to all those people that gave me nasty looks, We are not the worst parents in the world, she looks ADORABLE!

So maybe this weekend there will be more to talk about other than piercing Bella's ears.

LOL Oh, and by the way the new phone is not so good.

I feel like an 80 year old women, "I can't keep up with all this technology!"

I need serious help.

More from Mexico?

Yes, I am talking more about the fabulous vacation that you did not get to go on!
I got these pictures passed on to me from Lisa who went with us.
Thanks for sharing Lisa!
We had dinner on the beach and then we got to go on a sunset dinner cruise.
The guy above played some amazing music and really set a nice atmosphere for dinner.

Our beautiful sunset

So it started to rain on our beautiful cruise....
Me, James and a few others didnt mind and actually enjoyed the cool down.
The captain of the boat however did not enjoy the weather....
The captain had a really hard time trying to get us docked.
The waiters even came over to try to help us.
Even our smurf from lomas travel helped!
There was even a guy on the boat that jumped off to try to help. He took off his shirt and before I knew it I had Pesos flying all over me. I obviously put all of it in my pocket for "safe keeping" Just kidding! I'm sure he got his money back!

Then we had to do a game of tug o' war with all of us on the boat and slowly sinch up the rope.
It took quite some time to get us back to land.
I didnt mind they supplied us with plenty of chips and salsa and drinks!

There was a tragedy that happened while all this commotion was going on… Unbeknownst to all of us that was helping get us docked. A lady had actually fallen off the top deck because it was so slippery and she got a concussion.
I hope she is doing ok. My husband "The EMT" was no where to be found so they sent her off to a mexican hospital.

All of us at dinner, I am assuming Lisa was taking the picture because she is not in it!

After dinner me and james took a walk on the beach and James noticed something by our feet.....

STING RAYS!!!
It was completly dark but luckily Lisa's camera pulled through and the flash captured the moment.
There was bigger ones than what we caught on camera but I thought it was pretty amazing they were right there on the beach.
So here is the pictures from my favorite hotel! This is also where we took the sunset cruise and went snorkelling the day before.
Notice the jaccuzi on your deck? Every room in the new section has this or a swim up pool. The swim up pool rooms are cool too because they have a bed right there on the deck. Each room also has a outdoor shower.
This is what a typical bed looks like, What do you think? Livable?
Massage anyone?
You can opt to have your massage here, in this over water bungalow or on the beach.
Which would you prefer?

Doesn't matter to me....Why not try the massage on the beach one day and the bungalow the next day?

LOVE IT!?!?

Our Wedding

A little tribute to our wedding. I should save this post for our 1 year anniversary but I am bored here at work and well you will just have to deal with me talking more and more about my beautiful wedding.

It was a perfect day and I want to thank all those who made it perfect. I am honored to be married to such an amazing man. I dont know how I lucked out but I am totally living the american dream. We have such a perfect little life and it's all thanks to my wonderful husband for working so hard to give me everything I wanted.
Also a huge thanks to my wonderful family for always having our back and helping us out so much. I know our family has some problems but who doesnt? The good thing about my family is that no matter what happens to any of us we all know that we would be there for each other in any needed situation.

Enjoy the slide show that I have put together while I should have been working! LOL

Our trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico

We finally are home. It seemd like it was a whole lot longer than 5 nights. The first time I was away from bella was extreemly hard but we had a good time and she didnt seem like she held a grudge, I was a little worried about that before we left.
This is the beach in Tulum. The Mayan Ruins. The beach was awesome but way to crowded.
How could we not take a picture of this awesome fire house?

I didnt get to swim with the dolphins but with this back drop, I got to pretend

We ditched out on one of my meetings for work and took a ferry to cozumel. That way we wouldn't be in the same area and wouldn't get caught! Glad I got to see it once.....Still recommend the Riviera Maya area.
Tulum Beach

The Excellence Hotel in Riviera Maya

If we turned down drinks the locals would get so offended....(They were all virgin drinks though mom!!) HEHE
These guys were amazing. I was truely impressed
Waiting for the ferry to go to Cozumel
This was our snorkeling tour, We took a boat out to the middle of the ocean and had to jump off the boat. It was scarry at first but totally worth it. We saw the coolest fish, sting ray's and even got to watch an Eel eat a fish.
James Relaxin on beach
'OLE
I got so used to saying, "Gracias, Hola, and Vomonos" Those were about hte only three words I could say. I said "Hola" To about 5 people in the airport on the way home in Denver. I forgot where I was and it took me a while to realize that I was back in my own habitat.
This is the beach where we went snorkelling. We were supposed to be able to go Jet skiing and get on a Speed boat too but we ran out of time. I kept hinting that I would skip dinner or take a cab back to the hotel but I guess in Mexico they didnt understand my subtleness. We had a great time. I am so glad to be back home though. I have no idea how we are going to take our next trip and leave bella for so long but I dont have a choice in the matter. So I will update you on the next trip.
