Trial and Error

For my husband's birthday, I decided to throw him a surprise party.
Me and Ashlee #2 made him a Fireman cake.
Everything that could go wrong with this cake did. But even though we had a million things go wrong, and 5 hours of work, it still looked presentable. (either way it would just have to do)
The first two pictures the cake is not done. But for some stupid reason I only took one (bad) picture of it when it was finished.

Oh and thanks for asking, The party was awesome! James was completely surprised. I have never surprised him so this was a accomplishment!

Oh and who knew dry ice would just melt in your freezer after one day?!? Apparently it's a different freezing temp....Now I know to buy the ice the day of the party!

First time Ice Skating

For our Valentines, James took us Ice Skating. It was our first time going. Bella wouldn't try very hard and just wanted to hold our hands and waited for us to pull her. She got tired of it pretty fast and me and James had to take turns going around the ice alone. We still had a great time.
The best part for her was she got a pretzel. Next time we go we will leave her home and bring her home a pretzel.

Guns N' Hoses

We went to a Hockey Game on Saturday. Firefighters VS. Cops
It was hard to choose what team to root for since my husband is both. But since he was a Firefighter first and he has more heart for firefighting we were on the Hoses side.

And guess who Won?!?! Hoses of course!! (8-6)

After this game we had tickets to the Utah Grizzlies game but we were to tired and decided to skip it.

Man we are getting old!

For goodness sake, Lets eat some cake!

My friends (Ashlee and Ashley) decided to start their own Cake Business and they have inspired me to not be afraid of Fondant. I would never pretend that I am even half as good as they are but I think for a first timer, we didn't do half bad.
Yep I said "We" the husband helped me, A LOT! We made this cake for my sister's Birthday.

Oh and P.S. My hands were purple the next day at work and everyone kept teasing me that I got into the Dye packs.
